The Silliness that is Courtney

The other day at about 2 p.m. Courtney was still in her jammies. In my efforts to get her dressed (and because I knew we weren't going anywhere that day) I told her she could go pick out ANYTHING she wanted to wear, anything at all, and she could wear it. She normally picks out the ugliest things in her closet and I always make her go change, so this was a big deal to her that she got to choose today. And here's what she came out in:

I did say anything, so that's what she wore! Which, of course, meant swimming in tub while watching "Alice in Wonderland", which led to eating "Very Merry Un-Birthday Cake" after swimming. (Thank Goodness for the top layer of her birthday cake we froze a while ago, that saved me from having to bake another one!)

And she is now very concerned with her hair. Almost every day she requests curlers. This is her church hair, her grocery shopping hair, her playing outside hair, and her watching cartoons hair. It's really sad though, because after just a few hours, her hair has lost about 90% of the curl. Boo!

Such a good mommy to have Merry Unbirthday parties and letting her watch movies while in the tub. Her curly hair is cute!

She looks so cute in that swimming suit. If I looked good in a swimming suit I would wear one all day around the house too!

How funny that she is so concerned with her hair! Don't you just LOVE having a little girl? I also enjoy putting curlers in Isa's hair- our new thing is to put it in about 10 braids at night and then in the morning it is all wavy and pretty :) Oh, and Isa saw the pic of Courtney in her swimming suit and wants to know why Courtney's mom lets her wear her swimming suit and I won't... so thanks Becca, YOU are officially the cooler mom :) Love ya!

Courtney is having a fabulous childhood. See's going to look back at all these memories you've written down and realize just how lucky she is to have you and Jeremy as her parents.
