Courtney's May Funnies

(Courtney holding up a cookie split in half)
Courtney- "Which one do you want, Mommy?"
Me- "How about this one?"
Courtney- "No! That one's mine!"

(Courtney jumping on me)
Me- "Oof!"
Courtney- "It's okay, I'm not even giving you owwies, you're like a bean bag!"

Jeremy- "Hi, Sweetheart."
Courtney- "Actually, I'm a princess."

(Driving over railroad tracks)
Courtney- "Hey, those are choo choo tracks!"
Jeremy- "Yep, they are."
Courtney- "Yah, the trains go 'Choo Choo' on them!"

(Courtney playing with toy camera)
Courtney- "Smile, Mom!" *click* "Oh! That was a cute smile!"

Me- "Look, those birdies are getting worms for their breakfast."
Courtney- "Yah! Those worms are like their noodles!"

Courtney- (quite upset) "Ruger took 3 bites of my sidewalk chalk, and he didn't even say sorry!"

(Jeremy digging up weeds, Courtney wanted a small shovel to help. i gave her the extra hand shovel kept in the extra mailbox on the house)
Courtney- "Look! I have my own shovel, Mommy mailed it to me!"

Courtney- "When I was a monkey I would swing back and forth in the trees, but not anymore. Now I'm a big girl and I live in my home sweet home."

Courtney- "What are we waiting for? For Daddy to get off his butt?"

(Me trying to dress her)
Courtney- "AHH! STAY BACK! STAY BACK!!"

(Me STILL trying to dress her)
Courtney- (waving a book at me) "Shoo! Shoo! Shoo Mom, don't bother me!"

(Courtney jabbering away in nonsense language)
Jeremy- "Why are you jabbering so much today?"
Courtney- "I'm taking Spanish!"

(Courtney on the swing set, I sit down next to her)
Courtney- "Get off your butt and push me!"
Me- "Excuse me? What do you say?"
Courtney- "PLEASE get off your butt and push me!"

Me- "We need to wash that chocolate pudding off your face."
Courtney- "Yah. I don't look like a princess. I look like a man with a mustache."

(Me hiccuping)
Courtney- "Those are some pretty hiccups you have!"

(Looking at my friend's blog with Courtney on my lap)
Me- "Hey! Andrea finally got her couch picture posted!"
Courtney- "YAY HALLELU-LA!!"

Little Baker

It seems I don't have to stir anything these days. Courtney is a master stirrer and little baker and chef in training.

What to do when you're bored out of your mind?

Why, take silly pictures, of course!

Babies at the Greenbelt

The geese and ducks at the Greenbelt are hatching their eggs, so we took Courtney for a walk to see the new babies : )

She was very conscious of all the bird poo and didn't want to step in any. She kept saying, "hold me, hold me!" to get away from all the poo.

This is the hotel across the river. This guy was swarmed with all the babies looking for lunch!

Courtney's New Big Girl Room

My baby girl is no longer a baby (hasn't been for a long time!) so it's about time she got her "Big Girl Room" as she calls it : ) Courtney is 94% all GIRL (and 6% dirt, mud, sticks, and rocks) so of course she wanted a pink room. We moved her from the smaller nursery room to this room which is quite a bit bigger.

I still need to find some pink and black ribbon to hang from the canopy above her bed. that'll be cute once it's finished. (on a side note, having that play kitchen/laundry right next to her bed is great! i set her sippy on the ironing board, and snacks in the washer and dryer. saves me lots of trips to the real kitchen in the middle of the night!)

I think this dresser is my favorite piece in the entire room, i love it! so stinkin cute. Jeremy painted all the furniture with his sprayer, so everything is the same pink and black.

Her "baby crib" as we call it, is only in this room to serve as a threat! Courtney still sometimes has troubles staying in her big girl bed, so it's always nice to be able to say, "oh, do we need to sleep in your baby crib tonight?" and that always gets her back in her toddler bed pretty quick! (another side note: that white shelf is still waiting to be be painted black to match everything else!)

Horsie Heaven

Today Courtney was in Horsie Heaven! When driving around here, it's nearly impossible to not see cows and horses in pastures off the highway, and Courtney always shouts, "I see Moo Cows!" or "I see Horsies!", but she has never been up close and personal with one before. Today was her first time to pet one, and she LOVED it!

She is actually giving this horse a real kiss in this picture! All on her own, I didn't even tell her to! Which was funny because she would kiss it, then giggle and say, "I'm giving him kisses!" and then do it again. She was one upset little girl when it was time to go, but it was fun while it lasted!

"Is Jazzy coming over today?"

Every morning Courtney wakes up and asks, "Is Jazzy coming to my house to play today?" So this was a real treat for her that Jazzy actually truly did come this day! As soon as she walked in the door they headed downstairs for dress up, then came back up to play with the doll houses.

They also had lots of fun playing with the building blocks. This picture makes me laugh, I told Jaz to smile and this is what I got. Kind of what I get every time I tell Courtney to smile! "I'm smiling, now take the picture and leave me alone."

Here is their princess castle.

And what's a castle without a dragon?

Thanks for coming over to play, Brigham and Jazzy!
