Courtney's June Funnies

Courtney- "Ruger is so stupid. It's too bad we don't say that word."

Courtney- (talking to a dog she's never seen before) "Your name is Butch. Come here, Butch!"
Me- "Actually, his name is Blue."
Courtney- "No, his name is Orange!" (Continues calling him Butch all day)

(Ruger trying to get her popsicle)
Courtney- "No No, by the hair of your chinny chin chin, Boogey!"

(After overhearing me telling Jeremy not to let me eat sugar or junk food, Courtney and I upstairs, Jeremy downstairs)
Courtney- "Mommy, you can have some of my treats and I won't tell Daddy."
Me- "Okay, but don't tell!" (i take one bite and Courtney runs downstairs)
Courtney "Daddy! Mommy ate my treats!!"

(At work with Jeremy, playing in small water heater room, I knock on door, Courtney opens it)
Me- "Hello, Courtney, I came to visit you."
Courtney- "Well, come in!"
Me- "Your home is lovely."
Courtney- "Why, thank you!"
Me- "Can you show me around?"
Courtney- "Sure! (pointing to water heater) This is for my water, (pointing to drain) and this is where I keep my spiders, and this is the wall I helped Daddy and you paint."
Me- "Well I love what you've done with the place."
Courtney- "Thank you, and thanks for visiting. Come back soon! (Opens door for me to leave)

Me- "Do you need to go potty?"
Courtney- "No, not yet, Princess Becca Becca."

(sneaking the dog in the house and getting caught)
Courtney- "Boogey's cold. He needs to warm up in here."

Courtney- "Look at that rainbow outside. It's from Heavenly Father!"

(Jeremy, Courtney, and I weeding flower bed. Jeremy reads a tag off the rose bush)
Jeremy- "Sent from above"
Me- "Courtney, are you sent from above?"
Courtney- "No."
Me- "Oh, are you sent from below?"
Courtney- "Yep!"

Me- "We're making Happy Father's Day broccoli cheesy chowder and bread bowls."
Courtney- "Oh. Where IS my happy father?"

Me- "Sweetie, let's put a tank top on under your dress. It's pretty low."
Courtney- "But I want my boobs to show off!"
Me- (dropping jaw in shock and horror!)

(Courtney on swing set eating pizza, Ruger trying to get it)
Courtney- "Boogey's a pain in the butt, but he's my friend. He's a prince, and I'm a princess, and you're a princess, too, Mommy!"
Me- "Oh, thank you!"
Courtney- "You're welcome!.... my what big feet you have..."

(Me getting frustrated because Courtney was refusing to sit on the potty all day)
Me- "Courtney, when are you going to go potty??"
Courtney- "On Wednesday."

(Courting sitting on potty)
*plop plop*
Courtney- "Guess what that sound was!"
Me- "Did you poop in the potty?!"
Courtney- 'I did! I did poop in the potty!"
Me- "I'm so proud of you!!"
Courtney- "YOU'RE WELCOME!"

Look What I Made!

My fabulous mother-in-law is teaching me how to crochet. This is the only thing I know how to do right now, but it's pretty darn cute and i'm pretty darn proud of myself! I've made a whole ton of flower clips, so it's fun to be able to just clip them onto head bands now, too.

(and if anyone is looking super close, NO, i don't beat my child! that's eyeshadow over her eye. she thinks she needs to put make-up on whenever she sees me doing it.)
