Courtney's April Funnies

Me- "Let's go lay down for a nap."
Courtney- "No, I have my brand new toy and my brand new purse and I have to go now, so we'll have nap another time."

*every time we get in the car*
Courtney- "Buckle, Mommy, Buckle! Buckle, Daddy, Buckle!"

Courtney- "Mommy, I put your phone on Daddy's dresser where it will be nice and safe so the monsters won't get it."

*Courtney sneezes*
*silence*
Courtney- "Daddy, I sneezed. Say Bless You!"

*Driving home late at night, Courtney singing*
Courtney- "I'm singing the monsters a night night song so they can go to sleep in their trees and holes."

Me- "Courtney, stop it!"
Courtney- "But I'm helping!"
Me- "Slamming the microwave door on my head while I'm trying to clean it out isn't helping!"
Courtney- (dead serious) "oh... really?"

Me- "Courtney, come here! I want to give you a hug!"
Courtney- "Well, okay, but don't ruin my hair!" *patting flower clip in her hair"

*Courtney and I waiting in the truck late one night while Jeremy goes in a lady's house to discuss paint colors"
Courtney-(suspiciously) "Mommy... what's Daddy doing with that woman in there??"

*Me trying to calm her down to lay down for a nap, gave her a mini reeses peanut butter cup..(her treat for going potty)*
Courtney- "AHH! NOO!!! Those are for POTTY!!"

*Me combing the snarls out of her hair*
Courtney- "Ow, Mom, use a softer comb!"

*Courtney turns off all the lights, shuts all the shutters, and hides under the kitchen table*
Me- "What are you doing?"
Courtney- (frantic) "THE MAILMAN IS HERE!!"

*Courtney holding her sippy cup behind her back and slowly walking backwards*
Courtney- "Beep...Beep...Beep..."

Courtney- "I want to go to Jazzy's house."
Me- "I know, we're going there tonight."
Courtney- "But I want to go to-now!"

A Very Merry Un-Birthday To You!

Yesterday Courtney decided it was her birthday. She spent all day singing "Happy Birthday To Me" and when asked what day it was, she would reply, "It's my happy birthday!" She even insisted on me baking her a birthday cake. She was convinced it was her birthday. Sure. Why not? So we had Jeremy's family over for dinner and some Very Merry Un-Birthday cake!

Courtney's Surprise

Ta Da! Here's our Craiglist Freebie I'm so proud of getting! The guy said I was about the 80th person to reply to his ad, but for some reason, we're the ones he gave it to, and I am so grateful!! I baked them zucchini brownies and no bake cookies : ) It's been sitting in pieces in our garage for a few months now, and now that the weather is nice, out it came and up it went!

(The dirt that lines the wall is actually our garden beds. We haven't gotten to them yet, that's why it looks so terrible! But this weekend we'll start planting a few things. Oh- and our underground sprinkler system is getting fixed in a few days, too.... the winter after we moved in, the pipe froze and busted...3 years later we're just now getting it fixed... no more dragging hoses and sprinklers around to water the lawn, woo hoo!)

And here's Courtney's favorite part...the baby swing. Phooey with the big girl swings, she wants to go high in the 'baby swing'!

And that she did, well into the night...this is about an hour past bedtime. It was pretty tricky getting her out of that swing to go in for pajamas and bed.

Easter 2010

I hope everyone had a great Easter! We started ours with an indoor egg hunt at our house (thank you, crappy idaho weather!). We then went out to Menan to my parents house where we had a yummy Easter dinner, then had an outdoor egg hunt for the little ones since it had warmed up some.

The Easter Bunny brought me flowers since he knows i'm trying to avoid sugar : )

Courtney is obsessed with TinkerBell (which i couldn't be happier about because Tinker Bell is SOO MUCH BETTER than Sponge Bob!) The Easter bunny brought her tinker bell fairy shoes, tinkerbell and fairies magnetic 'paper' dolls, and the Tinkerbell movie. Here she is in her playroom, all set up to go, watching Tinkerbell : )
