Creepy Baby

Before you get any thoughts of me being a horrible mother, i'm referring to the baby on the right! This is the creepiest doll you will ever encounter. Just looking at it, you would never suspect a thing, but once you give it's belly a squeeze, it will haunt your dreams for months to follow. Apparently it's suppose to be a "cute baby giggle", but in reality it sounds like this baby is going to come to life, KILL you, and then laugh in it's evil sinister Chucky laugh, i have never been more frightened of any other doll than this one. (that's including the one at the bottom of the stairs at natalie's house overnight growing up!) The second i hear this baby's "cackle" go off on it's own, it's going in the fireplace! i wish i could post a video clip of it on here so you could hear for yourselves just how creepy it sounds!

Week in Review

Sunday was my dad's b-day and today is my mom's b-day (Happy Birthday, Mom!), so we all celebrated them yesterday in Menan. Courtney wanted to "help" make cookies to take to them. She's a very good big helper.

Saturday she decided that fruit loops are best when you pick out and eat only the marshmallows. This is her fruit loop face.

Wednesday it dumped snow on us. Again. Just when we were getting excited for spring. So Jeremy shoveled snow off our driveway while Courtney washed the windows.

And last Monday, Mom and I loaded up the kids (while Melina was at the hospital with Shane who was having knee surgery) and headed to Rexburg to help Mallena paint the girls' room purple. It turned out really cute. I would've taken a picture, but i was too occupied with the delicious lunch she made us and a super needy clingy child who wouldn't let me out of her sight.
So another week has come and gone, and the best part about that is that it's one week closer to Spring!

Happy Girl

Here's Jeremy and Courtney just before we left for church. This is the first time I've done her hair in braids, and I thought they looked super cute, so of course I had to take a picture!

Our sunbeams lesson today was how we came to earth from heaven and recieved a body. So I made our little sunbeams "heaven and earth" cookies. Only 2 kids showed up today. I also have more than half a red velvet with chocolate frosting cake upstairs left over from the ward potluck. It's very tempting having all these goodies around the house, but i STILL haven't had ANY sugar this year! (18 days and counting!)

Courtney, on the other hand, has had PLENTY of sugar!

Here she is coloring in her coloring book...with her chicken nugget.

Pushing her baby in it's stroller...
And eating another chicken nugget. She's actually a nuggaholic, I've got about 50 pictures of her doing normal little girl things...but with a nugget in her little hand. Sometimes one in each hand.

Be Careful

This is just a warning to everyone out there. Our friend was telling us about a girl in her ward, who last week heard a kitten meowing outside her house late at night. Rather than just opening the front door and going outside to find this kitten, she first looked out her window. And it's a very good thing she did. Outside on her front porch was a man pretending to be a kitten so she would open the door for him. Apparently this is a new technique that sexual predators are using to get women to open their doors so they can barge through. This happened just a few miles from our house, so if it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. Be careful!

Our Feeble Attempt At Spring

This morning when I looked out the window, instead of seeing piles of 10 ft. high snow drifts and sidewalks that are likely to break your leg just looking at, i saw grass and the sidewalks were clear as day. So of course I'm excited, and Courtney's excited, so we get all bundled up to go for a walk. As soon as we stepped outside, a chill picked up, so i figured we'd go for a bike ride instead where i could have Courtney covered by the bike ride cover top thing... So she got strapped in, and all bundled up and we got the top pulled over her, and we pulled out of the garage... Yah, we made it to the church parking lot across the street before my ears about fell off from the cold! So we did one lap around the parking lot and went back home. Courtney wasn't very happy...

So I decided to let her play out on the patio for a few minutes with Ruger...who was so excited that he knocked her over 3 times... So, it was back inside the house for us. Poor Courtney wanted to go outside SO bad, for the next 10 minutes she sat by the back door trying to pry it open so she could get out. Needless to say, we're done with Winter, we want Spring!

By the way, I'm happy to announce that Courtney has graduated from high chair to booster seat! This is great for me, because now I have a corner of my kitchen back from where the high chair use to be, and it's great for Courtney because she feels like a big girl now and will actually sit and eat. Every morning when I ask her if she wants some breakfast, she runs to her chair and tries to climb in. And when she's not in it eating meals, her babies are in it being force fed "memems and jew" (m&m's and juice)

My Little Thief

We have this big glass jar that we keep all our change in (in the corner) and we usually give our change to Courtney and she'll go running to drop it in the jar. Well yesterday morning I gave Courtney all the pennies out of my purse to put in the jar, while keeping all the good change (quaters and dimes) in my purse for later use. Well, I was in the kitchen baking and she was being suspiciously quiet, when all of a sudden i hear a "clink clink clink clink clink clink" noise...i go in the living room, and Courtney has found my purse, pulled out ALL the change, and dumped it all! So much for having spare change when i need it now. Although it was so worth it, just to see the biggest grin on her face for getting away with it.

Here's Courtney snuggling with Daddy. She's usually not a snuggler, but this night all she wanted to do with snuggle with Dad ; )

Happy New Year!

We had a bunch of our friends over for New Year's Eve. I made snowman sugar cookies (with matching hats and buttons), a cream cheese pumpkin roll, spinach dip, and chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Yummmmmy. Although, my new year's resolution is no sugar, so as of yesterday, all left overs are on holiday plates and being dropped off at the neighbors' houses. After we ate, I laid Courtney down to bed, and we all went downstairs and watched Eagle Eye. That's a pretty good movie. Then we did the 5,4,3,2,1, kiss, happy new years! then the girls all stayed downstairs and talked after the movie while the boys were upstairs wrestling, and what sounded like busting the floor and tearing down the walls. Everyone left in one piece though, so that was good. They also did some fireworks outside. We had a pretty fun night ; )

Here's Courtney playing "leg over, leg over" with Daddy...she's about to get flipped and twirled upside down. She loves it!

Here's Chad on the floor, Zach in the chair, and of course Dunkin on his lap.

Spenser and Kaylee.
Here's Jenny, her husband Chris...making kissy faces with Megan on her husband Brandon's lap.

Jeremy, Courtney, and me.
And everyone all together just before we started the movie.

And...everyone together again...minus and plus some people.
