We had our realtor over yesterday and decided to just get things on the road. We will be moving in about 3 weeks. (We would just move now, but Jeremy has 3 weeks worth of work here in Idaho Falls and Ririe and I need time to pack. I do all the packing while he works.) So with this news, Jeremy wanted to ...not so much 'celebrate' but really just get in one last hurrah before we left Idaho Falls. He has always wanted to go to Red Lobster in Pocatello but we never have. So last night we went. And I really didn't think I would need my camera for going out to dinner, but Oh I WISH I Had Brought It!!!
They have a lobster tank at the front behind the hostess stand, and Courtney conveniently had to go potty about 4 times (because the bathrooms were by the lobster tank)! She was just amazed by those lobsters. As we were leaving, the hostess saw how fascinated Courtney was with them and asked if she wanted to touch one. She pulled one out of the tank, and let us pet it. (awkward knowing that's going to be someone's dinner soon!). Then she asked if we wanted to see a trick. She put the lobster on the floor, standing up on it's head, folded it's claws over, curled up it's tail, and started rubbing it's back. In about 4 seconds, that lobster was fast asleep and balancing on it's head by itself. To wake it up, all she did was wiggle it's legs and he woke right up. Courtney LOVED it! I so wish I had my camera to take pictures for her. She'll be talking about it for the next 2 weeks!
Anyway, now with knowing we'll be out of here by the end of the month, I've been thrown into a crazy hectic whirlwind. I've spent the last couple months packing storage unit totes and cardboard boxes for the house, and the basement is just loaded with every thing packed. That was a couple months worth of work. And didn't even put a dent into everything we have left to pack. *sigh*
So today and everyday this month will be spent cleaning, packing, organizing, and D.I-ing morning til night. And also doing work in our Rexburg house. Painting, measuring, building closet shelving, shopping for house stuff (floor to ceiling pantry, bookshelves, etc). Lots and Lots to do.
And strangely enough, as crazy as this month's schedule is going to be, I am so thankful. The Lord had us in mind when He threw this all together. A few of you know about Courtney's sunbeam situation, most don't. Long story short, her sunbeam teacher has a record and spent jail time last month for child neglect. I just could NOT shake this awful feeling i had that I shouldn't leave Courtney in her care. But Courtney just LOVES being a "big girl sunbeam!" and talks about how much she wants to go again. I had prayed about what to do, I didn't want to judge this teacher, but in my heart I just couldn't trust her.
Courtney will get to go next week because there will be a sub. But then we'll skip sunbeams the next 2 Sundays, and that's all she'll miss. Then we'll be in Rexburg and she'll be a happy big girl sunbeam again in a class who's teacher doesn't have a record, and I can go to Relief Society with a calm mind not worrying myself sick over her.
So with all that said, I'm going to go eat a quick bowl of cereal, put my hair in a pony, and get to packing!

Why don't you just go to sunbeams with her?
What a busy month ahead of you! The lobster would have been great to have caught on video.
If you want you can bring Courtney here to primary. Church starts at 11:00. Brigham & Jaz went with us last Sunday. They did great!
oh that's a good idea!
(that's a good idea to Mom's comment)
Anonymous- It would be awkward being in there every sunday, the teacher would know i didn't trust her, and Courtney wants to be a 'big girl'...not with her Mom sitting next to her all sunday. That shouldn't be the sunbeam experience.
First of all, I love the new blog background. I want something like that. (hint hint)
Second, You picked the worst time ever to pack. I like to help, but I will have this baby in the next 3 weeks. I feel horrible for not being able to help.
Third, I am jealous you got to go to Red Lobster! I have always wanted to go there.
Fourth, I'm glad Courtney loves sunbeams. Jaz loved it too. She just didn't like being with all the baby's in nursery and is ready to move on I bet. Good luck with everything!
Good luck with moving, it is such a pain in the neck. Packing and unpacking are some of my least favorite things. The whole sunbeams thing is pretty stinky, but at least you'll be in another ward. Hopefully Courtney will love it there too.
I need your address for a baby shower invite. Can you post it on my blog?
You haven't mentioned how you are planning to move everything. You know we have this BIG, black thing available, right?
Who is the anonymous person?!!
You are such a busy little girl right now. Are you going to make it alive?!! I wish I could come and help you right now. :(
I like your mom's idea about the sunbeam situation. Mother knows best. ;)
Mom, yep, totally planning on that 'big black thing'! haha :)
