January Funnies

(Any time a product commercial comes on)
Courtney- "Oma needs that." "Oma should get that." "Should we get that for Oma?"

(Courtney out of her bed when she should be asleep)
Courtney- "Today is my best day ever!"
Jeremy- "Get back in bed."
(Sad look on Courtney's face)
Me- "Is today still your best day ever?"
Courtney- "No, because Daddy just broke my heart!"
(then she got to stay up late for 'feel better snuggles')

Me- "Uh oh, your popsicle melted, don't step in it."
Courtney- "Why should I not step in it?"
Me- "Because it will make a mess."
Courtney- "Why will it make a mess?"
Me- "Because it got warm and melted."
Courtney- "Why did it get warm and melt?"
Me- "Because it got warm and melted."
Courtney- "Why did it melt?"
Me- "Oh my gosh..."
Courtney- (with hands on hips) "Would you stop asking me so many questions?!"

(Me reading stories to Courtney)
Me- "Alright, lets go find something to make for dinner."
Courtney- "No, I made an appointment!"
Me- "An appointment for what?"
Courtney- "An appointment for you to read to me!"

(Courtney whining, Jeremy mocking her in whiney voice)
Courtney- "Would you stop talking like a girl and talk like a boy?!"

(After Courtney finishes blessing the food)
Courtney- "I did it all by myself and I didn't say, 'What comes next?'!"
(sticks hand up in the air for a high five)

(Courtney tucks me in on the couch, tells me a story and kisses my forehead)
Courtney- "Now it's time for you to go to sleep for a nap."
(After a couple minutes of laying there, my cell phone rings. I pull it out of my pocket to answer it.)
(Courtney rips it out of my hand)
Courtney- "Mommy, it's NAPTIME. We MUSTN'T be on the phone!"

Me- "Whatchya doin'?"
Courtney- "I'm playing with my toys, you Magnificent Boom Boom!"

Courtney- "How come Mommy doesn't want a sandwich?"
Jeremy- "Because the baby in her tummy makes her sick."
Courtney- "Our baby needs to stop sicking Mommy!"

Courtney- "I'm going to be a big sister!"
