Yesterday Jeremy's younger brother Chad got married. Here's a few pics of us hanging out while waiting for Brittany to get changed and come out.

Oh A-Hunting We Will Go....

Well, after almost 7 years, Jeremy is finally wearing me down. When we first met, I got nauseous at the thought of him even going hunting. I literally could not even look at what he brought home, and if I accidently got a glimpse I would nearly throw up. And now look at me, going hunting with him! (even though I didn't have a gun, Jeremy says it still counts!) Courtney LOVES LOVES LOVES to go hunting with Daddy. She gets so excited when we're getting ready to go, and while in the truck she shouts out, "I SEE ONE! SHOOT IT!!"

The scenery was absolutely beautiful. My favorite time of year when all the leaves are changing colors.

Although, on this trip, all we saw were does and fawns. (look at me knowing the difference between bucks, dumbbucks, fawns, and does!)

Courtney was wiped out. She said she wasn't feeling very well on the drive there, so we pulled into a grocery market parking lot to let her stretch her legs and get some fresh air. Good thing we did because as soon as she got out and walked for a minute, she threw up more stuff than i knew could even fit in her little body. Poor girl. But she was still so excited to go, so we bought her some crackers for her tummy... then later went to a gas station and got her a little dress up purse with 'pretty jewelries' in it. And all was well again.

sleep over!

After spending the day in Menan with the rest of the family, Courtney and I decided to take Jazzy home with us for a sleep over! They watched Mulan in Courtney's room til they fell asleep, then woke up bright and early and treated themselves to a "pre-breakfast" meal of halloween candy before Jeremy and I woke up.

Not that their actual breakfast was any healthier. Cinnamon and sugar coated cereal, smarties, and chocolate milk.

Come to think of it...our afternoon snack of chocolatey chocolate chip cookies wasn't very healthy either...

At least macaroni and cheese is semi-healthy!

It's been so great having Jazzy over! The two girls just wander off and I don't hear from them for hours. Ah... peace and quiet for me : ) I'm almost a little bit sad to send her home!

Happy Birthday Courtney!

3 years ago today at 3:31 am I received the most amazing wonderful gift that I thank my Heavenly Father every night for. Here is my happy smiling 3 year old.

My sister, Melina, is completely insanely talented with her cake making, so of course she was put in charge of Courtney's cake. It turned out fabulous! Even better than I had imagined. Thank you so so much, Melina, we loved it!!

Courtney got a princess Chutes and Ladders game from Grandma Hansen, and apparently you're allowed to cheat on your birthday, because she won every time we played tonight!

After the party, it was back to the cake. She had to lick clean the backs of all the flowers and make sure there was no frosting left on them.

Tautphaus Park Zoo!

After our unfortunate day a couple days ago of getting to the zoo just after they closed, we finally made it on time! (and on the very last day that Mom's free tickets expired!) Melina rented this wagon, which came in quite helpful. (wait and see!)

Little Chick-a-Dees

After we were done at the zoo, we took them to Arctic Circle for a little dinner and some more play ground fun to get the rest of the wiggles out. Courtney was beat by the end of the day. Thanks Mom and Melina for the fun day out!

Tautphaus Park

So after getting Courtney all excited about going to the zoo, my mom, Melina, and I loaded up the kids and went on over. Apparently they close at 4:00 and we got there at 4:30. Those were NOT happy little kids, so we took them over to the playground to play. That cheered them up in a real quick hurry : )


Courtney wasn't quite sure about climbing up this thing... I love the look on her face! She actually did manage to get up it though.
