Random Bits #1

Alex was doing this before he could even walk.  We lock our doors now.

This is right after poor little man got his 1 year shots. He's a trooper though, and wanted to play with the fish on the way out of the office.  He's much less dramatic than Courtney!

Courtney and I playing with the camera.  Because I can only play barbies and polly pockets and ponies for so long before I go crazy, so we took a break and played with my toy!

Ah brotherly/sisterly love.  These two make me so happy!

Courtney pushes Alex around on this doll stroller a lot.  And he LOVES. IT!  He even goes into her room, dumps all the dolls from it and drags it out to the hallway and sits on it, waiting for his rides.

Courtney does so well (*coughsometimes) being patient as I try to figure out different ways to do her hair.  Most of it I make up as I go along, which takes forever and she's very vocal about letting me know I'm taking too long.  But I'll get better and quicker soon!  (I say that as a pep talk to myself, because sometimes it gets really frustrating!  She may just have to live her childhood as a pony tail girl).

And here we have the worlds most adorable little boy.  He kind of looks like he knows it, too, huh?

Ooh Alex.  On this day I learned to never put food coloring in a baking basket where a 13 month old can reach.  Why?  Because food coloring is hard to wash off a baby! Notice how not even the baby gate stopped him?

Lots of scrubbing later (vinegar, who knew?!) here we are.  Just a slight tint of green mouth and hands.  Not bad!

Chillin at the kids table, eating some snacks and talking to each other.  I LOVE that they can finally interact and play together!

Because Idaho is just so darn awesome... as in flip flops and short sleeves one day and literally 8 inches of snow the very next morning... Courtney was in heaven.  This girl hadn't even had breakfast yet and she was already dressed and ready to go!  And side note... Like a week later, it's Fall again.  Boots and jackets and raking leaves.

Jeremy got me this a few days ago.  I love it for two reasons.  #1. If the need ever arises that I need to protect myself or my children when Jeremy isn't with us, I can. And #2.  You know... 'cause it's pink!  Pretty darn cute.  Nothing like a cute little pink gun to massively destroy an intruder with!

And all the stuff that goes with it.  We went out to the gun range, and I'm actually not bad at all with this pretty little thang!

So here we are again with Alex.  Notice a recurring theme in every picture Alex is in? Oh the messes he makes.  He's a pro mess maker.  This unfortunate incident took place while Courtney left her noodles unsupervised while she went to the bathroom. He's a quick one.

This was so funny.  I watched my friends kids the other day and was holding her little boy on my lap.  Alex is the jealous type and does NOT like me holding anyone else but him.  Look at that annoyed little face!

But now he's happy once he's up there, too.  We'll have to work on that jealousy issue.

And this sweet little (huge) pile is my thriftiest find in the history of ever.  Every article of clothing is brand name and has not a single rip, stain, tear, or stretched out piece of fabric, it's all tip top condition, and retails for around $900. (Yes I'm a nerd and looked it up on the websites!  Who pays $35 for Baby Gap skinny jeans for a 5 year old who's going to outgrow them in a year?! Not me, I pay $1 for them!)  I left that lady's house feeling pretty darn pleased with myself :)   (And super grateful to her for selling everything for so darn cheap!)
