I think one of the funnest things about having a little girl is getting to do all the little girly things all over again. I loved this kind of stuff when I was little and I am just loving introducing these things to my little girl now.
So with it being the month of hearts and lace and frills and all things girly, what more girly thing to do than throw a Valentines Day Tea Party?!
Courtney was SO excited to help plan this. First we made invitations for all the little girls who live on our street:
Then, on the day of the party we set up the Tea Table: (perhaps if I had been more on the ball and had found my purple table cloth, it would have been more festive on the table and less festive {{ think pink juice puddles}} on the carpet!)
We set out our 'Dainty Cookies':
And invited our guests to sit down. We learned words like 'splendid, spectacular, and simply marvelous' and mastered the 'tea pinky'. Check out Courtney's pinky...it's on the wrong hand, but it's perked right up there! Ava's mom told me Ava had been practicing her 'tea pinky' all week. She came looking so adorable, purple gloves and all!
Enjoying some girl time and giggles:
After tea, each girl decorated her own giant heart cookie.
Somewhere around this time our Valentines Party turned into a Christmas Party where the girls were decorating cookies for Santa with Rudolph and christmas trees on them....Sure. Why not.
And then we had heart-shaped pizza for lunch.
I had asked each girl to bring Valentines to share with the others, which we put in their little goodie boxes to send home with them.
I think Jeremy's head was about to explode about 15 minutes into the party, but the girls had a blast!

How fun!!! What a cool idea Bec. You are the "Best mom EVER!!" :)
That is so much fun! I love how all the girls are dressed up, even in a spiderman costume :) I like the little bags for their valentines, that is a nice touch.
I wish I was a little girl again and could have come to the party! What a good mommy!
