November & December Funnies

Me- "What's Alex doing?"
Courtney- "Oh, just swinging in his swing, you know...being awake.."

(Everytime Courtney gets off the phone with Jeremy)
Courtney- "Love you, bye, you're tall!"

(Anytime Courtney is watching a show, she asks me to pause it while she goes potty)
(Us playing Littlest Pet Shop in the living, she gets up to go potty)
Courtney- "Hey, Mom, can you pause...yourself....while I got potty?"

(I put my finger over her lips to tell her to be quiet, she licks my finger)
Me- "Ew!"
Courtney- "Well, that's what you get when you put your fingers by my mouth!"

(In Barnes and Noble)
Courtney- "Here, Mom, I found the perfect book for you!" (Hands me "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Homemaking" that she had found all on her own)

(In bed, asks for a cheese stick.  I bring her a white string cheese)
Courtney- "No, Mom, I wanted the yellow rectangle cheese stick, not the white cyllinder one!"

Courtney- "How come we have so many treats with lots of sugar?"
Me- "Because little girls are made of sugar and spice."
Courtney- "No, they're not.  They're made of bones and blood."

(Courtney in trouble)
Me- " Courtney Dawn!"
Courtney- (hands on hips) "Mommy Dawn!"

(Courtney and Alex babbling to each other)
Courtney- "I'm talking to Alex in his language so he'll understand me!"

(Watching "The King is Born)
Courtney- 'Who is he?"
Me- "That's King Herrod.  He's a bad man.  He wants to kill baby Jesus."
Courtney- "Oh man...I hate that guy."
