(Me putting on new glasses for 1st time)

Me- "Do I look cute?"

Courtney- "No, you look like Grandma."

(getting in hot car)

Courtney- "Whoa! It is DUCK HOT in here!"

(Courtney heard a thump)

Courtney- "What in the gumballs was that??"

(After me walking and Courtney riding her bike)

Me- "Oh, my achin' feet."

Courtney- "Oh, my dizzy legs!"

(Courtney digging into her crayon with thumbnail, making a mess)

Me- "If you keep doing that I'm going to take it away."

Courtney- "Yah, and then I'll take you away."
Me- "And do what with me?"

Courtney- "Put you in somebody's storage unit!"

(Courtney pretending to hula hoop, swaying hips for our preschool lady)

Preschool Lady- "Do you have a hula hoop?"

Courtney- (looking down at herself, up at me, down at self, up at the lady as if she were blind or crazy) "No...."

Courtney- "Look Mom, I drew a picture of you...back when you were skinny!"

(Courtney on her new bike, ringing her bell)

Courtne- "I bet everyone knows I'm coming!"

(Watching TLC's Baby Story- premature baby is born)

Courtney- "That baby needs to get back in there and cook a while longer."

(Courtney stacking up ponies on deck handrail, one falls off into grass. She starts boo-hooing and then goes to get it. Lays them out again, one falls -- but only onto the deck. She starts boo-hooing then looks down and abruptly stops)

Courtney- "Oh. Nevermind."
