Beaver Dick Park

On our way out to my parents' house yesterday, we stopped at Beaver Dick Park to enjoy some nature. We walked probably 2 miles around Cartiers Slough, then played on the toys back at the park. That was a long walk with Courtney's little legs and my big belly. We were hoping to see some wildlife, but the closest we got was to see a dead (headless?) moose that had been poached and thrown in the river, and a dead squirrel. We did hear a lot of birds on our walk though!

Courtney was a good sport after we got past the moose and deer and horse poops. She would do a little fairy prancing tippy toe dance around them while complaining there were poops everywhere and she wanted to be carried.

Add ImageShe would get really excited to hear or see a bird. She would make us stop to listen and then point to where the noise was coming from. Such a little nature girl ;)

She's not a true nature girl if she's sicked out by a little poopie :) I had a lot of fun times at that park in college. If you really want to see some real nature, come visit! We had headed moose up here!

I like the pictures of her in the tube. If we can't have real spring, at least we can pretend with those flowers. Cute Courtney.
